Words Players Theatre invites you to go back in time for the holidays
(THE MED CITY BEAT) - The Words Players Theatre is set to host a fourth production of its version of "A Christmas Carol: The Spirit of Christmas Past."
The first of 10 performances is scheduled for 7:30 p.m Friday.
The plot's loosely based off the story of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol," but with its own elements of ingenuity and surprise. The shows are also interactive, meaning characters will roam the aisles to mingle with guests.

"We try to bring the audience into what we're doing," said Abigail Kuhlmann, who plays the Spirit of Christmas Present. "So it's not us performing, it's us making the story with them."
Their goal is to make you feel like you've been taken to a different time, even if only for a few hours.
"It's an amazing experience because people step back in time and they can really experience it," said Jonathan Wetenkamp Sr., who will play Ebenezer Scrooge for the fourth consecutive year. "It's just a whole lot more fun than doing it on a stage in front of people who are just sitting and watching."
Guests can take in just the play, or combine it with dinner at the Lord Essex Tavern on Saturday nights, or wine and appetizers on Friday nights. More information of the event can be found here.
