In an effort to help working individuals improve their fitness and well-being, the mock report says, researchers in Rochester recommend that Americans "stand up at their desk, leave their office and never return."
"We found that you can also really get the blood flowing by pairing this activity with hurling your staff ID across the parking lot," said Claudine Sparks, a completely fictional researcher.
It's not the first time The Onion, which was founded in Madison, Wis. and now operates out of Chicago, has written a satirical story set in the Med City.
Previous articles with Rochester datelines include "Area Woman Said ‘Sorry’ 118 Times Yesterday" and "Study Links Drinking While Pregnant To Being At Kid Rock Concert."
