Commercial realtor Scott Hoss to challenge Wojcik for Ward 2
Local attorney and commercial realtor Scott Hoss announced Wednesday plans to challenge Council Member Michael Wojcik for Ward 2 this November.
In a news release, Hoss's campaign described him as a "natural collaborator and skilled negotiator" who can "lead positive discussion between neighborhoods, businesses and local government agencies."
A native of Rochester, Hoss believes his experience in law and business will help him make sound decisions on key issues affecting Rochester's future.
“For over a decade, I advocated for my clients’ rights and interests in legal and business matters," he said. "As a council member, I look forward to the opportunity to represent the citizens of Rochester and work with all stakeholders to help grow Rochester together."
Hoss, who works at Paramark Real Estate Services, has been involved with a number of local organizations including Rochester Civic Music and the Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce. He is currently the board chair for the Boys & Girls Club of Rochester and treasurer of the Journey to Growth board of directors.
Wojcik, now serving his second term, announced his intentions to seek re-election back in December. More on that here.
