Have a big idea? Consider speaking at the second annual TEDxZumbroRiver.
TEDxZumbroRiver will bring a fresh round of ideas to Rochester in 2017.
Organizers have set May 18 as the date for next summer's event. For the second straight year, it will be held at Autumn Ridge Church. Eight speaking slots are open, and organizers hope to match last year's attendance of over 1,000.
"It’s a community-driven event that involves a multitude of creative thinkers and volunteers, really showcasing the talents that our region has to offer," organizers said in a news release. "This is especially key with our ever-growing city and efforts for nimble creative outlets."
Those interested in speaking at TEDxZumbroRiver 2017 can apply on the event's website. The deadline for submission is Dec. 31 at midnight.
“Becoming a TEDx speaker is a great way to spread an idea you are very passionate about and for which you have a deep knowledge base," said Ben Creo, who along with Barbara Spurrier, are leading a group of volunteers.
