A new hobby and games store is slated to open soon in Rochester.

D6 Games will be located at 3160 Wellner Drive Northeast. That's in the same shopping plaza as Whistle Binkies North. Owners Christopher Fursa, Nathan Fursa and Matthew Fursa recently signed a lease on the space.

The deal was brokered by Brittany Wilson of Realty Growth Inc.

The location will be part retail store, part gaming station. The owners plan to host tournaments for popular strategy games like Magic: The Gathering and Dice Masters. There will also be tables, chairs and snacks for customers to come in during open hours and compete with fellow gamers.

"We want gamers to come out of the basement and meet new people," said Christopher Fursa.

Owners plan to have the store up and running by late February. D6 Games will be open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

"When you start gaming, you don't want to leave at eight; you want to keep going," said Christopher Fursa. "We'll keep the doors open late so people can enjoy themselves."

Tournament dates and other updates will be posted to the business's Facebook page within the next couple of weeks.
