Forums scheduled with city candidates

Med City Beat is hosting a pair of forums featuring candidates for city office.

On Tuesday, October 2, journalists Jay Furst and Sean Baker will moderate a town hall-style discussion between the two candidates for Rochester City Council Ward 1, Patrick Keane and Heather Holmes. The forum will begin at 7 p.m. at the Waters on Maywood, 827 Mayowood Road Southwest.

Then the following week — on Tuesday, October 9 — we will be hosting the two finalists for Rochester mayor, Kim Norton and Charlie O’Connell. That event starts at 7 p.m. at the recently-opened Little Thistle Brewery.

Both events will be live streamed on our Facebook page.

Those watching — either online or in-person — are invited to ask questions during the debate. Each event will last about an hour.

In addition to these two forums, the League of Women Voters is holding a series of dialogues this month at the Rochester Public Library.
