Forager brews 'Thirsty Lungs' in support of longtime employee's son
Forager Brewery’s latest beer release, ‘Thirsty Lungs,’ promises to deliver as much hops as it does hope.
The Rochester business is brewing the hazy double IPA in support of eight-year-old Marcus Tolbert. Marcus is the son of Forager employee Jack Lester.
With each purchase of a Thirsty Lungs beer — of which there is 200 gallons worth ready to drink — the brewery has pledged to donate the proceeds to the Children's Organ Transplant Association in support of Team Marcus.
“Jack and his family have been part of our Forager Family since day one,” said Forager co-owner and head brewer Austin Jevne. “And when we heard about Marcus’s need of a transplant, we wanted to support him and spread the word of his needs as far as our beer can reach.”
Marcus and his family are now in Houston where Marcus is being evaluated for a double lung transplant. [We encourage you to read his full story here. The page also provides the opportunity for you to make a contribution to the Children's Organ Transplant Association in support of Team Marcus.]
