Mayor Kim Norton is launching a new community engagement series.

The monthly series, “Morning with the Mayor,” will be held around town at different coffee shops, the city said Monday in a news release.

The first installment is scheduled for August 29 from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at Old Abe Coffee, 832 Seventh Street Northwest. Anyone can attend.

Norton says the series will “offer an additional way for community members to share their ideas, thoughts, and questions.”

The “Morning with the Mayor” events will be kept informal so community members can come and go as they please.

The city says additional dates and locations will be shared in the coming weeks. Updates will be posted to Facebook and the city website.
