Direct balloting now an option in Olmsted County

Direct balloting now an option in Olmsted County

Direct balloting has begun in Olmsted County.

This period — which runs today through November 2 — allows voters to show up in person and insert their ballots directly into a ballot tabulator. (Voters also have the option to place their absentee ballot into an envelope to be processed and tabulated later during the direct balloting period.)

For voters wanting to show up before Election Day, the county and city have opened a pop-up voting location at the Olmsted County Government Center, 151 Fourth Street SE, Rochester, conference rooms 2A and 2B.

Early absentee voting is also still available at the new Olmsted County Elections Office at 2122 Campus Drive SE in Rochester. Any voter in Olmsted County is welcome to vote at either of the locations — just remember to wear a face covering when entering the building.

Below are the remaining opportunities to vote in-person absentee:

  • Tuesday, October 27: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

  • Wednesday, October 28: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

  • Thursday, October 29: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

  • Friday, October 30: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

  • Saturday, October 31: 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

  • Monday, November 2: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

As a reminder, the General Election is being held on November 3.
