Rochester Culver's closes after employee tests positive for Covid-19
The Culver’s restaurant on the north side of Rochester has temporarily closed its doors after one of its employees tested positive for Covid-19.
In a statement, the company said the decision to close was made voluntarily, adding that “the health and safety of our guests and team members is our highest priority.”
The closure of the fast-food restaurant, 3380 55th Street Northwest, took effect this past Saturday and will last for two weeks. Culver’s says it has asked employees to self-quarantine while it undergoes “deep cleaning.”
In the interim, the local franchisee has pledged to continue paying employees. They are also working with public health officials “to follow all recommended protocols” for reopening, the company said.
The 55th Street location is one of two independently-owned Culver’s restaurants in Rochester. The second location, 36 28th Street Southeast, remains open for business.
