Flick to make another run at the Minnesota Senate
After a surprisingly close finish in 2020, DFLer Sara Flick announced this week she will be making a second bid for the Minnesota Senate.
Flick, a business professional living in Rochester, said she will focus her campaign on sustainable economic growth, including educational access and workforce development, as well as affordable housing and child care.
“This election is critically important,” says Flick. “We must work to address the escalating climate crisis, protect voting rights, and build a sustainable economy where all Minnesotans have an opportunity to thrive.”
A campaign kickoff event will be held on October 7 at 5:30 p.m. via Zoom.
Flick lost in 2020 by less than three points to six-term incumbent state Sen. David Senjem. The boundaries for the seat for the next election cycle are being redrawn based on the latest census data.
