Norton announces 2021 recipients of the Mayor's Medal of Honor

Rochester Mayor Kim Norton has revealed the recipients of the 28th Mayor’s Medal of Honor. The annual awards recognize Rochester residents who have “gone above and beyond to serve the community.” All of the recipients were nominated by members of the community.

“In a point of history full of unknowns, it is an honor to serve a city that is consistently full of strong, dedicated and compassionate individuals,” Norton said in a statement. “I am humbled to recognize these individuals and their outstanding contributions to the Rochester community.”

Due to public health recommendations, Norton opted to honor recipients individually rather than host a public event.
