Volunteer positions open on the city's ethics board
The City of Rochester is seeking candidates for three positions on the Ethical Practices Board.
Residents interested in applying can do so here through April 30. The term for the board is three years, with a maximum of two terms.
The Ethical Practices Board consists of seven members who work, as the city states, to “further the goals of the established Code of Ethics.”
Meetings are held typically once a month during weekday hours.
The mayor is responsible for interviewing candidates and submitting her recommendations to the city council. The positions are volunteer-based and offer no compensation. However, they do provide community members a hands-on experience in city government.
