Poll: What should the Chateau Theatre be used for?
(THE MED CITY BEAT) - Let the debate begin.
On Monday, the City of Rochester announced its intentions to purchase the historic Chateau Theatre in downtown Rochester.
But local leaders said they have no specific plans for the 88-year-old building, other than to preserve a vital community asset.
"The actual programming of the building space and operation of programs will be determined over time," said City Council President Randy Staver at Monday's news conference.
The council is expected to vote on a purchase agreement for the property on April 6. If approved, the plan will enter a 60-day review period, in which the city will seek input from the public.
But why wait until then? Vote in our online poll to make your voice heard.
