Forager's 'Chef Series' gets cooking this week
Farm-to-table dinner events — with unique, made-from-scratch recipes — are returning this spring to Forager Brewing Company.
The brewpub will kick off its "Chef Series" this week. The pop-up dinner events, curated by Chef Erik Paulsen and Head Brewer Austin Jevne, are scheduled for Thursday nights through May.
The events are an opportunity for foodies to come in and taste unique dishes and pairings crafted specifically for that evening. The menus materialize on a weekly basis, depending on what new and fresh ideas are emerging from the kitchen.
"It's an entertaining experience — not only just to dine but to educate people as well. We want to showcase our local vendors and local talent," says Paulsen.
He adds, "It also gives us knowledge on how we can make the restaurant itself better. It's always fun to do, and people have been receptive. We're trying to find those creative niches."
The series consists of the following;
Themed Dinners (1st Thursday) can be anything from a dinner based around lamb, a cooking class or a cooking competition between chefs. All of which we promise you will have plenty of food to sample!
Harvest Dinners (2nd and 4th Thursday) are coursed farm to table dinners featuring a local farmer and showcasing ingredients in harvest from their farm.
Beer Dinners (3rd Thursday) are paired dinners that our Chef works hand in hand with the brewhouse to bring you a perfectly paired, coursed dinner.
Tickets for this Thursday night's event can be found here.
