St. Patrick's Day Block Party | Friday and Saturday on Historic Third
The St. Patrick's Day Block Party is taking over Historic Third Street in downtown Rochester this weekend — and it's going to be bigger than ever.
The Half Barrel, Rochester's foremost whiskey bar, is closing down the street once again to celebrate the Irish that lives in each of us.
There will be a large outdoor heated tent (21+) with four full bars featuring Irish hot chocolate, craft brews from Fulton Beer and Tullamore DEW Irish Whiskey (they bought 28 cases of whiskey, just to be safe.)
The music lineup includes some well-known local names for night one: Hair of the Dog and Incognito both take the stage Friday. Then on Saturday, Fernando Ufret will warm things up for Minneapolis-based Junk FM.
And what would St. Patrick's Day be without the bagpipers? The Rochester Caledonian Pipe Band will be making a stop at the Barrel at 6:15 p.m.
So get downtown, have some fun this weekend — and of course, be safe!
