Med City Beat is a Rochester-based news project rooted in fairness, transparency and civic responsibility.

Med City Beat offers internships for high school and college students, as well as paid opportunities for experienced freelance journalists. To learn more abut becoming a contributor, email editor Sean Baker.
Students must be enrolled in a college journalism or mass communication program and/or have experience writing for a student publication.
In most cases, students do receive college credit for their internship. Talk to your program advisor first.
We look for original, enterprising stories that align within our primary areas of coverage: government, business, health, education, and culture.
Rates vary between $75-$225 per assignment.
At this time, we only have part-time positions open.
