Pair of new businesses set to open this week in NW Rochester
Call it a double shot of espresso. Beginning Tuesday, residents of northwest Rochester will have new options for where to shop for groceries and buy their breakfast. Here's a quick preview:
Coffee and bagels
Two popular breakfast chains are teaming up to deliver a new java house experience. Caribou Coffee and Einstein Bros. Bagels will open under the same building at 1930 36th Ave. NW. The Rochester location is one of 20 co-branded units opening this year is the U.S.

Giant grocery store
The new 94,000-square-foot Hy-Vee, located at 4211 West Circle Drive NW, will be the fourth — and largest — Rochester location for the Iowa-based retailer. The store features a 24/7 grocery store, gas station, pharmacy and full-service restaurant. The location has added more than 500 employees, including about 150 full-time workers.
