Authorities investigating Stewartville man's death as a possible hit and run

(THE MED CITY BEAT) - A local man was struck and killed by two vehicles while trying to walk across Highway 52 in Goodhue County Sunday evening.

The incident occurred around 6 p.m. near County Road 24 on the southern edge of Cannon Falls, according to the Minnesota State Patrol

Patrick Daly, 42, of Stewartville, was declared dead at the scene. The two drivers who hit him were not injured.

The State Patrol is investigating the incident as a possible hit and run, according to a report by KROC-AM. Authorities believe several vehicles were in the immediate vicinity at the time of the crash.

Investigators want to hear from anyone with information, no matter how minor it may seem, notes KTTC-TV. The Minnesota State Patrol Rochester District can be reached at 507-285-7406.
