VIDEO: Rochester artist uses a barn's wall as his canvas
(THE MED CITY BEAT) - A local film crew recently followed artist Bobby Marines as he painted a custom mural along the exterior of a century-old barn in northwest Rochester.
The mural was later cut out of the wall and delivered to the future home of Forager Brewery. The work of art will be one of several pieces on display when the business opens this summer.
"[The owners] are bringing that liveliness, that freshness and progressiveness to the city," said Marines. "I wanted that to be really captured in this image."
The brewery will be part of Kutzky Market, which is opening in the former home of the Good Food Store. The market will also include a full kitchen, coffee shop and space for artists to sell their crafts.
The documentary, which was produced by the Local Experiment, also includes a tour of the building's interior courtesy of architect Adam Ferrar.
The film crew plans to release two other episodes on Forager, including one featuring head brewer Austin Jevne.
