One killed Friday night in 3-car crash near the Rochester airport
Officials responded to a fatal crash over the weekend in south Rochester.
The incident was reported Friday at about 5:20 p.m. on Highway 63 near the Rochester International Airport.
According to the State Patrol, a southbound van failed to slow for stopped traffic and rear ended a pick-up truck. The pick-up truck was pushed into a third vehicle, a small sedan.
One of the passengers in the pick-up truck, Sandra Benson, 65 of Watertown, S.D., was killed in the crash. Another passenger, Earl Benson, 73, also of Watertown, was seriously injured. His current condition is unknown.
Four other people involved in the crash suffered non-life threatening injuries; a seventh person was not injured.
