Summer's over, kids: Classes begin Tuesday for students across Rochester
Most Rochester students are headed back to school.
Tuesday marks the first day of classes for students grades 1-12 in both the public and Catholic school districts. Kindergartners begin school on Thursday.
Rochester voters will be asked this fall whether they want to contribute an additional $9.6 million per year toward the public school district's operating expenses. The referendum will appear on local ballots Nov. 3.
Earlier this year, we sat down with Rochester Public Schools Superintendent Michael Muñoz to discuss the referendum, among other topics. You can watch that entire conversation here.
