These 8 local speakers will share their big ideas at inaugural TEDx event
Organizers of the inaugural TEDxZumbroRiver conference have announced the eight local speakers who will take the stage on May 5.
The lineup includes an array of talented individuals, from a ventriloquist to a poet to an educator. Each will have 10 to 18 minutes for their presentations.
According to organizers, speakers were chosen from a "large pool of applicants in a long and thoughtful process." An additional four speakers will be brought in from outside Rochester; their names have not yet been released.

Tickets to the event are $47 and can be purchased through the event's official website. The venue holds about 1,000 people.
