Lyft sets Thursday for Rochester launch
Looking for a Lyft?
The ride-sharing service will be available in Rochester beginning Thursday, Feb. 23. That's according to a message the company sent out Tuesday to registered drivers in the area.
Lyft will be the first company to begin operating under the city's new ordinance regulating transportation network companies.
The industry giant Uber has also applied for and received a license from the city to begin offering service. It has not, however, set a launch date for Rochester.
Both apps are available through Google and Apple stores.
