Say it ain't snow: Winter storm expected in SE Minnesota this weekend
The National Weather Service says an early spring storm is expected to bring snow into the region Friday night into Saturday morning.
Four to eight inches of snow is possible west of the Mississippi River, though those totals could change depending on the trajectory of the storm.
Travel is likely to become difficult later Friday evening through much of Saturday morning as roads become snow covered and slippery.
Forecasters expect the precipitation to start out as light rain Friday afternoon and quickly transition to snow Friday evening. Moderate to heavy snow is possible overnight into Saturday morning.
