Resurfacing work will cause delays this summer on Highway 52
Road work is set to begin on a busy stretch of Highway 52 in Rochester.
Beginning July 9, drivers can expect single-lane traffic, ramp detours and delays along Highway 52 between Highway 63 and I-90.
Crews will be re-paving all northbound and southbound lanes of Highway 52, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation. The $6.6 million project also includes extending the turn lane onto eastbound I-90 and repairing two bridges at the Highway 52/I-90 interchange.
Construction is expected to be completed in late fall of 2018.
In the meantime, MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones. Additional info on the project is available here.
