Hagedorn schedules Rochester town hall
First District Representative Jim Hagedorn will host a town hall in Rochester on Friday, June 28, his office announced Thursday.
This will be the Republican congressman’s third event as part of a 21-county town hall tour of the district that began earlier this month. The two previous events were held in Martin and Nicollet Counties.
Hagedorn was elected to represent southern Minnesota last November in his fourth attempt running for office. He defeated his opponent, Democrat Dan Feehan, by half a percentage point. In Olmsted County, however, voters favored Feehan by a 12-point margin (56 percent to 44 percent).
During the campaign, Hagedorn promised to stay in lockstep with President Donald Trump’s agenda. Since going to Washington, Hagedorn has, by all accounts, followed through with that pledge and remained a consistent cheerleader of the president’s policies.
The town hall will be held on the 28th from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Rochester Community and Technical College’s Heintz Center (inside of Door H15).
The town hall event is open to all Olmsted County residents and constituents of Minnesota’s First District. County attendees who present valid government-issued identification will be given priority to ask questions, according to Hagedorn’s office.
