Rooster's flocks to northeast for third location

Rooster's flocks to northeast for third location

After eight years in business and one successful expansion under its belt, Rooster’s Barn and Grill has hatched plans for a third restaurant in Rochester.

Owner Ross Manahan said Monday the new location will sit on the north side of East Circle Drive, between the CMX Chateau Theater and U.S. Bank. The new space is proposed to be the largest Rooster’s in town when completed, over the original on West Circle Drive and the second, officially dubbed Rooster’s Too!, in the Shoppes on Maine shopping center.

The third Rooster’s (specific name, a la Rooster’s Too!, is TBD) will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a focus on classic American fare (think wraps and burgers). The space will be open daily from 7 a.m. to 1 a.m.

A press release also notes plans to build outdoor amenities like a covered outdoor patio and a “grassy outdoor game area,” in addition to pool tables and dart boards — standard Rooster’s additions — inside the walls.

The new building should be ready to go by this fall.
