Rochester Art Center offering free admission through May 8
To mark its 75th anniversary as well as the opening of a new exhibit, the Rochester Art Center is inviting guests through its doors at no charge.
Free admission will be available to all visitors now through May 8.
The announcement follows the introduction of a new traveling exhibition, We Are Water MN. The project — a collaboration between the Minnesota Humanities Center, City of Rochester, Olmsted Soil and Water Conservation District, and other local partners — aims to engage visitors with Minnesota’s “most important natural resource through personal stories, historical content, and scientific information.”
In addition to the new We Are Water MN exhibit, visitors can view David Bowen: on water, “an exhibition of artworks that rely on data and robotics to reflect the infinite ways we impact and are impressed by water.”
New artwork is also on display from poet/artist Jennifer Jesseph featuring “stories of remarkable women left out of the mainstream narrative.”
The Art Center is open to the public Wednesday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Social distancing and face coverings are required.
