Rochester City Council postpones meeting due to technical issues
A worldwide outage of Microsoft Teams threw a wrench into the Rochester City Council’s plans Monday, delaying the start of the meeting by an hour and leading the council to postpone much of the meeting until next Monday.
Everything on today’s agenda — with the exception of public hearings — will be heard at 3:30 p.m. Monday, March 22, the scheduled time for the next council study session. The council plans to tackle both the postponed meeting and the study session, in that order.
All public hearing items on today’s agenda will be re-noticed and heard at the council’s next regularly scheduled meeting on April 5.
Notable items on the agenda include a presentation on the factors influencing the 2022-23 city budget; authorizing a lawsuit against Collaborative Design Group, the firm that designed Parking Ramp 6; and the consideration of adopting a rule barring council members from sitting on the boards of organizations that receive city funding.
