Donate in your neighborhood: Mayo hosting community-wide blood drive

Mayo Clinic is holding a community blood drive the next two months at various locations across Olmsted County.

In doing so, the Mayo Clinic Blood Donor Program is hoping to make it easier for those who want to donate blood, but can’t make it downtown.

Among Mayo’s biggest needs is donors with an AB blood type.

    May 5 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

  • Oronoco Community Center:
    115 Second St. NW in Oronoco,
    May 9 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

  • Eyota Ambulance:
    753 Robert Ave in Eyota,
    May 23 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

  • City of Byron:
    680 Byron Main Court NE in Byron
    May 25 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

  • Eyota Ambulance:
    753 Robert Ave in Eyota,
    June 15 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

  • Rochester Armory:
    1715 Marion Road SE in Rochester,
    June 27 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Anyone 16 years or older is eligible to donate blood.
