6-8 inches of snow possible Sunday across southeast Minnesota
Winter ain't over yet — With less than two weeks remaining until the start of spring, southeast Minnesota is gearing up for another significant snowstorm.
Snow will begin making its way into the area Sunday, with the heaviest rates of snowfall expected in the afternoon and evening. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 8 inches are possible, according to the National Weather Service in La Crosse.
"Confidence is high that this storm will produce significant amounts of snow," forecasters say. "However, uncertainty remains on the snowfall totals. Any shift in the storm track or its strength will have an impact on where the heaviest snow occurs and how much falls."
Driving conditions will become difficult Sunday into Monday. Significant reductions in visibility are possible.
