Rochester man sentenced to eight years in prison for role in heroin overdose
(THE MED CITY BEAT) - A Rochester man could spend more than eight years behind bars for selling the heroin that killed a man last spring.
The Post-Bulletin reports Demetrious Deal, 47, was sentenced last week to 98 months in prison for his role in the overdose death of 39-year-old Nicholas Miner. The judge gave credit to Deal for the 197 days he already spent in jail.
Deal pleaded guilty last month to felony controlled substance in the second degree. In exchange, three other felony charges were dropped, according to a report by KAAL-TV.
