Update: Authorities identify victim of Wednesday's fatal crash
One person was killed in a three-vehicle crash early Wednesday evening on Highway 63 just north of Rochester.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 65-year-old Plainview man was traveling southbound on 63 around 5:40 p.m. when he collided head on with a vehicle heading northbound. A third vehicle, driven by a 46-year-old New London man, then collided with the northbound vehicle.

The driver of the northbound vehicle, Sharon Ross, 62 of Lake City, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other two drivers did not suffer any apparent injuries. No citations were issued.
The road was wet at the time of the crash, notes a report by the State Patrol.
Also Wednesday night: Two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle outside of St. Marys Hospital. One of the victims, a 77-year-old Montana man, is listed in critical condition; the other pedestrian suffered broken bones but is in stable condition. The driver was cited for a stoplight violation.
